🏈🎉 It’s almost time for Patriot Football — and we can’t wait! 🎉🏈 We’re also excited about the upgrades to our softball & baseball fields this year. ⚾🥎 🚗 Important Parking Update for Football Games: The lots in front & behind the school will be closed to general parking. These are reserved for School Staff, Handicap, Officials, and Visitor Transportation. Handicap parking requires a valid plate or tag. Overflow parking at JAMS: $5 per vehicle. 🚌 To make it easy for everyone, two free shuttle buses will run between JAMS and GWHS from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Reminder to GWHS parents: we will have our open house on Tuesday, August 26th from 5pm to 7pm. There will be a meeting for senior parents at 6pm in the auditorium. In addition, juniors and seniors taking college classes from West Virginia state university will be able to talk with representatives who will be present to answer questions. ⛳️ The GW Golf Team is on fire! 🔥 What a weekend for our Patriots: 🏆 Lee took 1st place at the Marion County Invitational with a low score of 72! 👏 William tied for 9th with a solid 76. 💥 Chastyn sank a HOLE IN ONE during Sunday’s practice round! 🥇 And on Monday, William, Lee, Chastyn & Jay brought home the team win at The Pines in Morgantown with a score of 312 against Morgantown, Cabell Midland & Peters Township! Parents and guardians: When picking up students after school, please use the middle lane of the parking lot or park across the street to wait for your student. The lane closest to the building is reserved for the buses. This should help alleviate congestion and allows the buses to get in and out of the lot quicker. 📱 New KCS App: Tips for Parents!

Our new KCS app makes staying connected with your child’s school easier than ever! Here are a few quick tips to get the most out of it:

1️⃣ Favorite Your Student’s School – Make sure your child’s school is marked as a favorite so you can access it quickly. You can favorite multiple schools so you can easily flip back and forth between multiple schools.

2️⃣ Set the Default School – Change your default school so when you open the app, your child’s school appears first instead of the district page.

3️⃣ Explore the Menu – Find important info like documents, lunch menus, the school calendar, and the online attendance excuse form—all in one place!

On the home screen of the KCS app you can change schools, favorite schools, change the default school, and find important documents.

You are able to favorite multiple schools in the app so you can move back and forth between schools easily.

to set your default organization in the app, click on the gear icon located on the top right of the menu page

to find the app menu, click on the blue box with three white lines in the top left corner of the screen.
